NATURE TRAIL BY BROOKSIDE SPRING

Under Brookside Drive bridge in the cut originally used for the railroad bed is a fresh water spring that runs all year. This area is also much wider then most of the trail and has a great deal of wild life.

This might make a perfect location to work with local Schools and the Dallas Audabon Center to create a Science/Nature Trail. Even in an urban city like Dallas nature still finds a way to survive.

This too is something that if supported by people attending the Master Plan meetings would be designed as part of the Master Plan for the Santa Fe Trail.

Take a look at this story from the Dallas Morning News about a Mesquite Teacher that created just such a trail near her school.
